The Surfstage vision is to bring people together to create something extraordinary.
It’s important to us that the event is free and open to everyone; we achieve this by asking people to volunteer. Where the kitchen is the best place at a party, team is the best place to be at Surfstage.
There are a wide variety of opportunities to serve on our festival teams with options to get involved a little or a lot:-
- Put me down for a day, I'll have a lanyard and a free lunch!
- I'm all in... free meals all weekend and an exclusive Surfstage t-shirt
Full weekend volunteers can camp for free!

We (sisters Rachel and Katie) run a group of hospitality businesses and have been organizing beer and music festivals for years.
Inspired by our collective love of big summer festivals, we wished that more of the people we love could experience that sense of awe, so we set about creating a festival for everyone. A place where people who would never set foot in a church stumble into God’s presence.
The first Surfstage was an afternoon event in 2019 the response was fantastic with over 2000 visitors. We have nurtured and grown Surfstage into something special; an annual weekend event with affordable camping as an alternative to big summer camps.
We want everyone to be able to enjoy Surfstage so day tickets and all the activities for adults and kids are free.
Our vision for the festival is exciting and spiritually significant for the North West!
