The Surfstage vision is to bring churches together to create something extraordinary. We are looking for partner churches to work with and also individuals to be on team during the festival.

It’s important to us that the event is free and open to everyone; we achieve this by asking people to volunteer. Everyone knows the best place to be at a party is in the kitchen… well the best place to be at Surfstage is on Team!

There are a wide variety of opportunities to serve on our festival teams with options to get involved a little or a lot:-

- Just a couple of hours, pass me a lanyard!

- Put me down for a day, I'll have a lanyard and a free lunch!

- I'm all in... free meals all weekend and an exclusive Surfstage t-shirt

Our Story
button our story .png

We (sisters Rachel & Katie) run a hospitality events business and have organised secular music festivals for a number of years. We realised that the day after the Parbold Village Fair the marquees sat empty and that seemed to us like a wasted opportunity. Inspired by our collective love of festivals like New Wine & Big Church Day Out, we set about creating a Family Festival for everyone, with some Christian Live Music thrown in the mix. Somewhere EVERYONE can experience God's love. A place where people who would never set foot in a church stumble into God’s presence

The first Surfstage (Surf = share UR faith) was in 2019 when over 2000 visitors descended on our local playing fields and the response was fantastic. We have nurtured and grown Surfstage into something special; an annual weekend event on our 14 acre field in Parbold and includes affordable camping as an alternative to big summer camps. We are now registered as a CIO; our trustees, along with our 8 strong leadership team are made up of the loveliest mix of people from a variety of local churches.

We want everyone to be able to enjoy Surfstage. It’s not easy for most people to travel miles or buy expensive festival tickets so we make entry to Surfstage and all the activities for adults and kids free.

We want to create an expression of church that's as vibrant and varied as our world, a place for everyone to celebrate together what is good in the midst of our community. We believe that Love is the Way,Joy is for Sharing and peace isn't just for hippies.

Surfstage unique because it is not just for Christians. It's an event you can invite anyone to where they will gently experience an atmosphere soaked in the Holy Spirit. We want festival goers to take home so much joy that people will be like" whoa, I want some of that!"

Our vision for the festival is exciting! We believe God wants to move significantly by his Spirit through SurfStage to bless the north west and reach the unchurched. We are looking for people and churches to join us in this mission, if thats you we would love to hear from you!

THANK YOU for reading and we hope to see you soon.

God Bless,

Rachel, Katie & The Surfstage Team x
